My Life As A Reader

My name is Zaria C. and I've loved to read for as long as I can remember. Some genres I love to read are mystery, realistic fiction, and dystopian. Some of my favorite books that I've read are the Divergent Series, the Hunger Games Series, The Dead And Buried, Forget Me, The Fault In Our Stars, City Of Bones, Wonder,and Tears Of A Tiger. All of these books have some emotional aspect to them which is generally a must when I'm picking out a book. Some of my favorite authors are John Green, Wendy Mass, Cassandra Clare, K.A. Harrington, and Veronica Roth.Some places I enjoy reading are on my bed, in the car, in a bright closet,and on the beach. And yes, I did say in a closet. It's very cozy!



Two of my favorite books I read this summer are City Of Bones by Cassandra Clare and Brown Girl Dreaming by Jacqueline Woodson. City Of Bones is about a girl named Clary who discovers that she is part of a group of people called Shadowhunters who hunt Demons. Throughout the book she is discovering the truth about who she really is contrary to what her mother has told her for fifteen years. Brown Girl Dreaming by Jacqueline Woodson is a memoir. Her story is about her growing up as an African American living in Ohio, then South Carolina, and then New York.
